Made a path with my rover, but as I got into the main core chamber, I had a traction fail and succumbed to the gravity. Me and my Rover are stuck. The little tongues that descend into the core are not present. Oxygen is present in the so I am here and stuck. Once I reach the core, I insert the materials and get the two geometric triptychs then activate the core. Once the core is activated I use it to teleport to the satellite and insert the second geometric triptych into it. When you reach the Gateway Engine use the material needed. Then grab the 2 Geometric Triptychs you made then use one for the Gateway Engine. Save the other one for when you have one from each planet. When you have all 7 Geometric Triptychs (one form each planet) go to the Gateway Portal with the 7 Geometric Triptychs.I wanted to make a major production base in the core of a planet for access to a core Gateway node. Gateway travel is so handy, but effectively limited to only things your astroneer can carry. The borehole to the core was to allow fast transport of bigger items out of the core via shuttle.
